At Yarn Refuge, we like to provide that very place where lovers of fiber and needle arts can come together in a welcoming environment to create new friends, experience beautiful yarns, and share ideas.
It is truly a unique and exciting place to be!
Meet the Owner
The new owner of this amazing place is Terry King.
Terry taught herself to knit as an adol s.
For many years she had a desire to create a space where people would come together as a community and build on their skills, share experiences, and get away from the daily stress. Pam opened a small shop in mid-town in August of 2017, but quickly outgrew the space. She relocated to Lakeside Court in July of 2018; a great location with plenty of room and parking!!
Terry’s primary focus is always the satisfaction of her customers. She loves to help knitters learn the basic skills and go on to successfully create their own projects.

Susan Boyd, our Customer Service Manager, retired from her corporate career and joined Yarn Refuge 2 years ago. She says she has her dream job at Yarn Refuge where she can combine her love of knitting with her love of making every customer’s experience a great one
Terry King, An independent instructor and Yarn Refuge staff member, has been a key part of the local fiber arts industry for over 40 years. She can help with any project, and also offers a fun array of different classes for all skill levels! She is a valued member of the team!!
Diane, our newest addition at Yarn Refuge. She is a wonderful knitter, weaver, and hand spinner.
As the former owner/dyer of "Just Our Yarn" she now lends her color expertise
to help you choose just the right yarn for your projects.

I love Yarn Refuge as my local yarn store. The yarns are beautiful and diverse. The lovely accessories (bags, buttons, notions) are plentiful and tempting. But the very best part is the people: Pam, Susan and Terry are wonderful to work with, always helpful and encouraging. Pam, the owner, loves suggestions for new yarns and new projects…and gets as excited as her customers when a new box of yarn or supplies arrives.
